Wingback Chairs: A Sentimental Story

Wingback Chairs: A Sentimental Story

Have you ever had a piece of furniture that holds a special place in your heart? Our client certainly does. It all started with a chair, a simple piece of furniture that carried a lifetime of memories.

What's the Story Behind the Chair?

Our client inherited the chair on the left of this picture from his aunt. It may seem like just a chair to some, but to him, it was a symbol of love and connection. He remembered it well as the chair he sat on with her as a child, reading books and sharing stories.

A Chair in Need of Some TLC

Over the years, the chair had seen better days. It was worn out and in need of some tender loving care. That's where we came in. Our team of skilled craftsmen took on the challenge of restoring this cherished piece of furniture.

We carefully reupholstered the chair in a fabric similar to the original, preserving its nostalgic charm. Every stitch was made with precision and care, ensuring that the chair would not only look beautiful but also be comfortable to sit on, just like it was in the past.

Creating a Companion

But our work didn't stop there. Our client's wife also wanted a chair of her own, so they could sit together and create new memories. We took on the task of replicating the original chair, with a custom wood stain finish to match.

The result? A pair of chairs that not only complemented each other but also symbolized the love and connection shared between our client and his wife. Now, they have a special place to sit, read, and reminisce about the past while creating new memories for the future.

At Millmax, we understand the importance of preserving cherished memories and creating new ones. We take pride in our craftsmanship and the ability to bring new life to old furniture. If you have a piece that holds a special place in your heart, we're here to help you restore it and continue its story for years to come.

What a lovely story 🥺
